why YOU may need an architect?

Do you want to build?

Do you have an idea?

Do you have a strategy?

Do you have a budget OR need help establishing a budget?

An EXPERIENCED ARCHITECT can help!

A licensed architect is a highly trained design professional who bears the responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of your buildings’ future occupants. In addition, architects are trained to be artistic and knowledgeable in building design and construction methods.

There are 3 major components to any project: YOU (the Owner), the Architect, & the General Contractor and the architect acts as a job captain who communicates the owners intent through legal drawings to the GC who then sees it through fruition. Both the Owner & the Architect are usually engaged throughout the duration of the project.

Our Focus

Every client is unique…

Therefore, every project at CENTRi Architecture is unique. We understand what one individual finds value in, another may not so our designs are specifically catered to our clients and their interests. Our ability to LISTEN intently to the needs and wants of our clients and being able to EXECUTE their vision to pen & paper efficiently sets us apart. Our #1 priority is client satisfaction and we’ve found the way to achieve this is through effective communication.

Our Process

  • STEP 1 Introductions are a must! Whether it be a face-to-face meeting at a local coffee shop or a digital meeting, CENTRi Architecture needs this interaction to get a better understanding of who YOU are and how best we can SERVE you.

  • STEP 2 Understanding your target goals helps us bring value to your project. This will also help us establish a program (a list of spaces/needs to help create your project) and assist you with formulating or identifying a reasonable budget. If you don’t have a program, we can help with that too!

  • STEP 3 Quality Is All About The Details - Most people can’t pinpoint what it is they like/dislike about something pertaining to aesthetics (style, color, proportion) or spatial experiences (volume, wayfinding, lighting). We specialize in helping you identify the WHAT through an easy series of questions. Once we determine what excites you about a project, we begin designing with these key components & strategies, being mindful to keep open communication as we CREATE for you.

  • STEP 4 Once a design direction is established, we FOCUS our efforts on coordinating with trusted engineers to package together a detailed code compliant set of construction documents that can be used for pricing, permitting and/or construction, depending on the intent and the phase.

  • STEP 5 Whether negotiating a bid with a selected General Contractor or bidding the project amongst multiple GC’s, CENTRi Architecture will help guide the process and begin Construction Administration services providing you with an additional set of experienced eyes ensuring the project built matches the project designed. Construction Administration services include, but are not limited too: Submittal Reviews from GC, RFI (Requests for Information) responses, Site Visits at key stages of the project, and Pay Application Reviews to help ensure the financials match the progress. CA provides you with additional peace of mind that the project will indeed be a success!

The CENTRi Advantage

  • The design industry conventionally uses two-dimensional drawings to represent floor plans, elevations, sections and details. These drawings are relatively easy to understand if you have been trained to read them and are extremely effective for construction. For design interactions with YOU, our client, we realize you likely have not been trained to read construction documents so we provide 3-Dimensional visualizations throughout the design process to ensure you SEE the whole picture! We utilize the latest design software to produce crisp three-dimensional imagery to represent design concepts so you have the best possible understanding of your project from the inside/out. We show you the details exactly as they should appear after construction.

Our Connections

  • We work with select structural engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, plumbing engineers, fire protection engineers, civil engineers, and landscape architects to provide you with a comprehensive & coordinated design solution. It takes a team and we are happy to lead it!

  • We have existing relationships with Planning Departments & Code Officials to help ensure local authorities are staying informed & your project is in compliance.

  • We have relationships with and have experience navigating local municipalities and their requirements to assist you through Planning Commission & Design Review processes. If your project is located in a municipality we aren’t familiar with, we get familiar… FAST.

  • We have working relationships with trusted General Contractors & select sub contractors to be able to assist with budgeting & value engineering exercises. This helps us get cost-estimation on your behalf and keep our designs within your budget!
